Well, another day of snow. It snowed all afternoon. Not much for winds, but snow none the less. It is suppose to snow most of the night as well. After that, a cold front is moving in. I am a little concerned. I have my VIP Club Pie and Coffee event on Thursday. I am afraid that if it is too cold on Thursday, we won't have many people show up for it.
Our new teller started today. So instead of getting caught up on my work, I spent quite a bit of the day get the new hire paperwork completed. Yipes. I can hardly wait until she is up to speed on the daily routine. The piles on my desk just get deeper and deeper.
When I got home I found a nice suprise. Randi, Travis and the kids were here. Apparently Travis worked from here for most of the afternoon (they don't have DSL available in their neck of the woods) while the kids napped and Randi watched a movie. It was nice to have them here. Tomorrow night the kids will spend the night. Randi has to work the night shift (7 to 7) and Travis is flying to Wisconsin for work. I will just take the kids to daycare before I go to work on Thursday. Ya, Thursday, the coldest day of the season. Burrr.

Okay, you will think this is a stupid comment, but I promised I would ask--We were discussing your COLD weather yesterday at my work, and my coworkers want to know. At what point do your cars no longer start? Now my question is, how much snow did you end up with? This is why I told Doyle years ago that if he ever decided to move back to MN I wouldn't go unless I didn't have to work and could just hibernate through the winter. LOL
ReplyDeleteWell, currently we have had about a foot of snow, but it is hard to tell. There are drifts that are 4 - 5 feet high in some spots. As for a temp where cars don't start, it is hard to say. It kind of depends on the car. My car and leon's pickup have always started no matter what the temp. It is kind of funny because we usually only get this kind of really cold weather a couple of days a year. They said tomorrow is likely to be the coldest day (low of -27 and high of -4) we have had since 1997. I don't like the cold, but it is going to warm up by Saturday so it isn't so bad. You can live with it when it is only a short time. :)
